| (Tel Aviv, Israel, 31 March, 2009) The diamond industry has become accustomed to leading diamond planning and evaluation equipment manufacturer, Sarin Technologies, changing the way diamonds are manufactured and evaluated. It is only natural as the company holds the largest patent portfolio in the industry and, over the past twenty years, has been credited for the first commercial diamond cut quality scanners, rough diamond planners and laser markers. But even veteran diamond manufacturers will be enthused by the news Sarin announced today: starting April 1, Sarin will begin offering a revolutionary service to diamond manufacturers, allowing them to accurately map all inclusions, within almost any rough diamond, in minutes. The existing state of the art methods may take hours, if not days, to perform this painstaking task, and even then results are highly dependent on the operator`s skill, with human error remaining a cardinal factor. Sarin`s new Galaxy™ 1000 scanner takes only minutes to achieve results with no preprocessing (known in the diamond industry as ``opening windows``) of the rough stone required. For the first time ever in the diamond industry, a scanner is available that can accurately, quickly, and automatically detect and map all inclusions regardless of their type, size, and location within the rough diamond, using a unique patent-pending technology. Sarin expects Galaxy™ 1000 to change forever not only diamond manufacturing, but also diamond trading, because frosted and lightly coated rough diamonds, commonly traded speculatively, due to their obscure internal structure, can now be fully mapped and, in effect, demystified. No ``windows`` need to be polished on these diamonds to undergo Sarin`s new scanning.
