Sarin - first to sponsor 32nd World Diamond Congress | |
|
It has been eight years since the biennial gathering of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) was held in Tel Aviv, Israel. For this reason, the 32nd Congress is so significant for Israel’s diamond industry and its leaders. Realizing this, Sarin Technologies Ltd jumped in as the first sponsor of this key event on the global industry calendar.
About 3,000 people are already listed to attend the congress including VIPs from the various international diamond bourses, government heads, bankers and other leading industry players. Israeli diamantairs adapted their businesses admirably during the intifada, which caused many buyers to stay away from this important center. The Congress is thus an opportunity to show the trade that Israel is still a major commercial and industrial center for the world diamond industry and hopefully, one they will return to.
Yair Sahar, the Organizing Committee’s chairman, commented that Sarin was the first company to sponsor the event: “They immediately realized how important this Congress is for the Israeli diamond industry. They didn’t think twice and we are proud that we have people like them in our industry. They are excellent and we thank them!”
It is, in fact, fitting that such an historical moment and perhaps even a turning point in the future of Israel’s diamond industry be sponsored by Sarin – not only the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of advanced planning, evaluation and measurement systems for every aspect of diamond and gemstone production, but a company also widely credited as having revolutionized the gemstone cutting factory, by developing the technology that enables the design process to be separated from the manufacturing process. Sarin is also the only Israeli company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX).
Udi Lederer, Sarin’s Vice President of Marketing, said: “We are proud to sponsor this important event held in our home country. Sarin has stood by the Israeli diamond industry through prosperous as well as challenging times. As soon as we heard the 32nd World Diamond Congress will be held in Israel we were the first sponsors to get on board and show our support. We wish the organizing committee best of luck and a successful congress.”
The Congress will take place June 26-29, 2006, in the conference center of the beachfront Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. Sarin will hold a lunch at the hotel on the 27th for all the prestigious visitors and delegates.
